Let not your heart be troubled

John Chapter 14 Jesus spoke these words after the last supper. He was preparing the disciples for what was to come. He also promised them the comforter, the Holy Spirit who would be their counselor, and lead them to all truth. The Holy Spirit would tell them things to come. He said having the Holy Spirit with them would be better than, having him there in a physical body. The Holy Spirit being sent was proof that God cared about our day to day life, not just about going to heaven.

We have supernatural power through the Holy Spirit that enables us to over come. There was a marked difference how the apostles were before they received the Holy Spirit, and after. They had boldness, joy, signs, and wonders confirming the message of Jesus.

I remember as a kid when, I saw the movement of the Holy Spirit in the churches. People being healed, word of knowledge, word of wisdom. prophecies, being in activation. The Church's need to be bold,start disciplining people to minister to others, not expect the pastor to do it all. It's like people go to church with the mind set "ok  I'll give you an hour to inspire me."

I happened to hear Oprah today she was explaining the phrase " Don't drink the Kool-aid ". Which had to do with the people of Gianna, who were brain washed by following Jim Jones blindly unto their death. They interviewed the people as they were moving to Gianna. The prevailing reason given for them leaving America, was the government was not taking care of them. I think people get deceived into thinking the government is suppose to take care of us financially.

Are we being systematically brained washed by our media? I use to think that only the people of Communist Countries, or Muslim Countries were fed propaganda .This is what I see. Politicians spreading fear about the planet with the global warming hoax, at their monetary gains. Scientist lying about their findings.

After Hurricane Katrina the media predicted that we would have 15 to 17 major hurricanes the next year. It didn't happen.

In 2005 the top UN health official predicted the Avian Flu would be a world wide pandemic, killing as many as 5 million to 150 million people, as of May 2009 269 people died.

Commercials bombarding us with all the diseases we could, or might possibly have. Have you ever listened to some of the side effects of the medicine they are trying to sell? The symptoms in many cases are worst than the original sickness.

Media has hyped this as the worst recession since the depression. Most millionaires were made during the depression, and hard times. When every one else was afraid, holding on to what they had,not spending. These amazing people had the vision to invest, and buy.

Don't like being depressed? Change your focus. Don't think on what your not. Don't think on what you don't have. Don't think on what you can't do. Our hearts are affected by what we see and hear. I see where I limit God , by my small thinking talking to God about my problem instead of talking to my problem about my big God.

2 Peter 2:7-8 Tells how God delivered righteous Lot , who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked, who tormented his soul day to day by seeing, and hearing their lawless deeds.Paul tell us in Philippians 4:8 " Finally brethren , whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise think on these things." In other words we control our thoughts.

I have noticed in my own life that my peace is directly linked to what I think.God flows through people, and if I get discouraged, I stop the flow of God in my life. God is a spirit, and the spirit world is a parent world to the physical world. Eph 3:20 Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think,( the last part of this scripture is) "according to the power that works in us."
